Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1½ cups flour
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup butter or oil
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the bananas by peeling and mashing them in a large bowl until smooth. A few small lumps are fine.
- Add wet ingredients: Pour in the melted butter (or oil), then add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt evenly.
- Mix the batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can make the bread dense.
- Transfer to pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve once cooled for best texture and flavor.
