Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups all purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a bundt pan or two loaf pans.
  2. Beat softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add sugar and beat until pale and creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Slowly add flour and salt. Mix on low speed until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake 70 to 80 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice and serve plain or with toppings.
Recipe Notes
  • Use full fat cream cheese for the best texture
  • Bring all ingredients to room temperature before mixing
  • Don't overmix once the flour is added
  • Sift the flour to avoid lumps
