Notes

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup butter or oil
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the bananas by peeling and mashing them in a large bowl until smooth. A few small lumps are fine.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Pour in the melted butter (or oil), then add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt evenly.
  5. Mix the batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix, as this can make the bread dense.
  6. Transfer to pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick in the center   it should come out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Cool the bread in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve once cooled for best texture and flavor.
